Balance a reaction
Type any equation. It is balanced by solving the element-conservation matrix, not by looking it up — and it is refused outright if it cannot be balanced.
Limiting reagent and yield
Give what you actually put in the flask. Amounts may be a mass
(5 g), a number of moles, or a volume with a concentration.
Make up a solution
How much solid to weigh for a target concentration.
How much heat?
Phase changes inside the range are included automatically, and the heat capacity switches with the phase — heating water past 100 °C uses the steam value, not the liquid one.
Environmental equipment
The ovens, incubators, fridges, water baths and autoclaves the labs use. Their warm-up behaviour is a simplified first-order model, labelled as such.
Solve a relationship
Pick a relationship and the variable to solve for. Units are checked dimensionally — giving a mass where a voltage belongs is refused, not coerced.
Convert a unit
Dimensional, so J → m is an error rather than a number.
Compound units work too: J/(kg*K), km/h, mol/L.
Knowledge base
Every property carries the source it came from. A substance that is not here is genuinely absent — the engine refuses rather than estimating.
What this engine does, and does not do
Straight from the specification: results are labelled by how much they can be trusted, and nothing is invented to fill a gap.
